Description

Yep, picked up a new hobby. I need small in-between projects for my main projects. And I also need smaller in-between projects for my in-between projects haha... So this is perfect for an in-between in-between project. I want to learn how to crochet as well.

This is my very first knitting project. T
his hat took me starting over 4 times and a total of 10 hours to complete. I was practicing flat knitting and purling for like 3 days. So this was my very first time doing something different other than k1p1. Took a few hours to learn how to read the patterns, but I got it now. One of my closest friends Jerms, said, "Oh, you can make like a simple beanie or something." I said, "No, I want to make something I want!" I'm not known for taking baby steps-- it's always go big or go home!

This project was the first time I used circular needles (hence starting over 4 times, kept knitting in reverse like 3 times), first time ribbing, first time doing the brioche stitch, first time increasing, and first time decreasing. I learned a lot. Now I cannot decide if I'm officially a knit-wit or stitch bitch?

First attempt in gray. Second attempt in black. Third and Fourth attempt in green. The green one my son is modelling is a child's size. Oh, there is a gray ribbed beanie I made too.
