Here are a couple of snapshots of me using my tools.
The top picture is with a tortillon. You want to always hold your tortillon at an angle so you don't smash in your pointed tip.
The bottom picture is with frisket film. I just peel off the backing just enough and place the vinyl adhesive on my drawing where I want to lift off any lead. I use my mechanical pencil to draw on the frisket film of what I want lifted off and when I'm done I peel it off.
Notice how my hand is sitting on top of my vinyl cover so that my skin does not touch the surface of the paper.

i tried to draw teeth for serious... once. and I mean once. I wish I had this tutorial back then. I might even finish that pic! I never throw anything skethces away so its probably somewhere in my closet
